Registration is now open for students, adults and volunteers for the High School Cyber Security Fair and Expo in conjunction with the Annual Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition.

Adobe Certificate Associate

All students in the Website Development course are expected to achieve an industry certification issued by Adobe. We will practice for the Adobe Certificate Associate certification in Dreamweaver. Other areas that students can become certified include Photoshop and Flash. Most locations charge $100 for this certification. Blake High School has a special price of $10 for Website Development students.

MC Computer Programming Competition

The Computer Science and Information & Interactive Technologies (CSIIT) Department at Montgomery College is proud to present The Annual Programming Competition, to be held at 3:00pm on April 12, 2013 (Friday) at Rockville campus. This competition aims to promote scholastics excellence and competence through a healthy contest and provide a venue of interaction among students and teachers of high schools from the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.

This competition is open to all high school students. The participants will be challenged to analyze programming problems and implement solutions in the Java programming language. Student teams are scored for their solutions by a panel of judges made up of professors at Montgomery College and other local universities.

CSIIT is honored to invite your school as one of the participants of this competition and sincerely hopes your school will be able to support the Montgomery College’s continuing mission of upholding academic excellence. Each school is allowed to have the maximum of 5 teams, 2 students per team to participate in this completion.

Young Professionals Conference

As part of this class, Junior students will attend the Young Professionals Conference in March. The conference allows students to network with industry professionals and to attend lectures or break-out sessions on topics related to their career options.
